In 2016 Zimbabwe exported $2.78B becoming the 124th largest export economy in the world. Zimbabwean top 3 African export destinations are South Africa, Zambia and Mozambique which represented, at the same time, its major African import origins.

The main exported goods are gold (32%), raw tobacco (14%), diamonds (7.2%), ferroalloys (5.9%) and nickel matters (5.4%).

With regard to the main imported products, Zimbabwe mostly imported: refined petroleum (23%), cors (5.6%), electricity (3.2%), packaged medicaments (3.1%) and soybean oil (2.2%).
