Registration is open for the third edition of the UNIBO-CRIF Master’s in Quantitative Risk Management

The scientific committee of the University of Bologna within the Level II Master's Degree in Quantitative Risk Management has expanded, and this year, as well as the Department of Statistical Sciences, the Department of Economic Sciences became involved. Meanwhile, CRIF is again confirmed as an established partner for this third edition, for the training of the Quantitative Risk Managers of the future, i.e. expert professionals in the measurement and management of market, credit and liquidity risks.

In particular, the Master's provides the skills to deal with emerging aspects in risk measurement and management in the context of recent regulatory developments. The course, lasting one year, will be divided into two parts. The first part will deal with the main concepts of probability, statistics, econometrics, financial engineering, and institutions in the financial intermediation markets. The second part, on the other hand, will introduce the emerging aspects of market, credit and liquidity risk, looking specifically in detail at analysis of so-called big data. Finally, to help participants enter the world of work, there will be a practical internship lasting 300 hours at CRIF or one of its partner companies.

The course is aimed at graduates in economics, statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering and political sciences (with a solid quantitative background). A good knowledge of English is required, certified to B1 level or above. In the absence of certification, the applicant's English level will be assessed during a selection interview. CRIF offers 5 grants of € 5,000, which will be allocated to the top five candidates in the selection ranking. Registrations are due by November 20, and the 2018-2019 registration form is available at the following address: call for applications
